Story Behind the Scene: How did Clothing Clone's Journey start?
Atoofa Khushnood, the Founder and owner of Clothing Clone – The Fashion Hub.
In her current role, She oversees the day-to-day operations, manages a team of admins, and ensures that customer service is top-notch. Additionally, She is responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels, creating and managing purchase & Sales orders, and overseeing shipping and receiving operations.
When we take a closer look at several individuals’ success journeys, we are astounded by the extent to which they push themselves to make their dreams come true and, in the process, inspire millions of others.
Atoofa Khushnood is a personality who turned her passion into a successful business with the support and encouragement of her husband.
Even before getting married, Md Afraz Alam, a digital marketing professional, ran Startup Idols- a digital marketing and website development firm. They now co-own the business after marriage.
Despite being a gifted writer with a passion for many other things and an interest in journalism, Atoofa had never shown any interest in stitching.
However, after her marriage, when she was expecting, she prayed day & night to have a baby girl. God was merciful to her and gave her a lovely little daughter as a gift.
Atoofa started making miniature outfits for her kid a few days after she got home from the hospital while viewing various YouTube tutorials. Nevertheless, her mother continuously yelled at her, telling her not to put too much stress on her body so soon after a C-section. Yet, Atoofa wouldn’t stop.
Atoofa wanted to twin with her daughter at their daughter’s welcoming party, which was soon to be prepared. So she visited a fashion designer who was familiar to her from shared acquaintances with the style of dress she desired. After many misunderstandings, the lady finally accepted the order and pledged to deliver on the scheduled day.
And just a few days before the delivery date, when Atoofa contacted for an update, she informed her that she would be unable to complete the dress due to a lack of time and the amount of hard work required. Atoofa was so enraged that she decided to make the outfit herself to prove to the designer that it wasn’t difficult.
Unfortunately, the lockdown struck the country just a few days before they were supposed to hold the event.
But Atoofa persisted in wanting to sew the outfit. So she purchased all the necessary raw materials, had them dyed in the color she needed, and created an exquisite, flawlessly matching gown for herself and her daughter to wear on the occasion of their second wedding anniversary. Little did she know that this event would be the catalyst for a lifelong dream.
The most impressive aspect of her achievement is that she participated in a kid’s carnival with her daughter during the twinning competition, donning the same matching gowns, and emerged a winner.
While witnessing this, Afraz remarked, “If stitching interests you so much, then why not open a boutique?” So, Atoofa sewed three or four more matching outfits for herself and Ataf, her daughter.
Afraz was confident that a boutique would be the ideal form of company to launch. And therefore, they created Clothing Clone: The Fashion Hub to capture Atoofa’s distinctive work style.
The word “clothing” is pretty obvious, whereas the term “clone” has a much more technical meaning in biology, but in general, it means ‘identical.’
As you can see, the Clothing Clone logo features a woman posing in front of a mirror. Meanwhile, she can see a young girl dressed similarly in the mirror. This can be seen in one of two ways: as a mother and daughter twinning or as an adult woman gazing back at her younger self. Therefore, Clothing Clone does more than make dresses; it also allows you to live the life you probably imagined as a child but were unable to at the time.
Additionally, they provide a personal touch to every occasion you celebrate with your family because they not only make twinning dresses for mother & daughter but everyone in the family, including men.
So this is how Clothing Clone came into existence. On top of that, she did not stop there; further, she commenced a complete professional fashion designing course from INIFD, Kolkata, to grasp all the technical skills of this business so that she could take this startup to the next level.
